Bill's Story:

Bill is a mellow, lovable rescue that we brought home be to our son Jaxson's first pet in November of 2015, we wanted him to be a Christmas present but were so excited that we couldn't wait.We got him less then a year ago after he spent the first half of his life in a shelter. Our son Jaxson loves Bill and despite having to deal with a high energy 4 1/2 year old, Bill loves Jaxson too. We've never had any problems with the Billdozer, he fit into our family from day one and is always waiting by the door to greet us when we get home or jumping onto our laps to cuddle. He lays on the floor in the kitchen while my husband and I cook and plays with Jaxson by chasing cars as they go down his hot wheel tracks or running after his stuffed lion. We were devastated when we had to make a life or death decision about Bill's cystitis (or FIC) the week before Jaxson's 5th birthday.

There was no other decision then to do what we could do to save a part of our family but the medical bills are going to be far more then we can afford. Bill is still in the hospital right now, being medicated to dissolve the cyst blocking his bladder but we're going through what no family should have to: worrying about how we're going to pay for our beloved pet to get and stay healthy.

After all, we are trying to teach our boy to do the right thing and to protect the things that he holds dear so that he can grow into a loving, strong man. How can we instill that lesson if we let the life of our precious Bill (or Billdozer to Jax) slip through without making every effort to save him?

We're a small, young family trying to stay afloat financially, my husband is a full time student (which comes with student loans) and we both work full time so we're stretched to the max as it is. We live at bare minimum as it is and we have nothing extra after all the essential expenses are taken care of. Although the sum may seem small to some, to us it's a huge dent in our finances that we just can't afford without help.

Any donation would be a huge godsend and would take a massive weight off our shoulders. Thank you in advance for your support and your kindness <3

All Chances complete 30 days after they are first Submitted for Verification by the Pet Owner. The reason they end at all is because credit card refunds must be issued if the funds cannot be raised and, therefore, the treament will not be provided.

So, if a Chance will not be fulfilled by a doctor/provider within 30 days, the money must be refunded to the people who made donations.

Shortly before the Chance completion date Pet Chance will try to work with the doctor/provider to see if the treatment can be fulfilled with partial funding.

Our goal is to fullfil as many Chances as possible!

We call it Pet Care Assurance...

At Pet Chance, our goal is to empower pet owners to make the right decisions for their pets. By funding Chances where owners have already incurred debt we are giving the next owner facing that daunting decision confidence to provide their pet with the care it needs.

The more Chances where treatment was already provided to get funded, the more likely it is owners (and vets) will make the right medical decision first, and handle the financial obligation after the fact.

We encourage you to support the work we do to help pets and their owners so we can continue to run PetChance.org.

Our world-class customer service and national impact has honored us with Top Nonprofit awards from Great NonProfits. We can only do this thanks to your generous contributions!
