Zeus's Story:

Zeus recently began showing signs of a skin problem when hives started appearing all over his body. Around the same time we also found a poison ivy plant in our yard. Since having all bushes and brush removed from the yard and a visit to the vet for an allergy and steroid shot followed by a medicated bath,we hoped things would heal up. But it didn't, it got worse. He's been to the vet numerous times and our finances have now been depleted. They've done steroid shots, Prednisone, Benadryl, septiderm-v, thuja occidentalis, multivitamins, allergy-aid, and a VERY cautious diet, but nothing is helping. The next step is complete allergy testing and thyroid testing to hopefully pin point what's happening. Not including necessary medication to help him afterwards, we're looking at another $400 minimum to get him the help he needs. Seeing Zeus like this is breaking my heart and bringing me to tears constantly. He's my second child, my son's best friend, and my ESA dog. I cannot imagine how uncomfortable and in pain he is and the fact that I can't do anything to help him right now is beyond upsetting. He's losing hair in chunks, scratching himself bloody, and chewing his feet raw. If anyone can do anything at all, I would never be able to truly and fully explain just how incredibly grateful I would be, my baby just needs help and I'm determined to do everything I can to make sure he gets it somehow.

All Chances complete 30 days after they are first Submitted for Verification by the Pet Owner. The reason they end at all is because credit card refunds must be issued if the funds cannot be raised and, therefore, the treament will not be provided.

So, if a Chance will not be fulfilled by a doctor/provider within 30 days, the money must be refunded to the people who made donations.

Shortly before the Chance completion date Pet Chance will try to work with the doctor/provider to see if the treatment can be fulfilled with partial funding.

Our goal is to fullfil as many Chances as possible!

We call it Pet Care Assurance...

At Pet Chance, our goal is to empower pet owners to make the right decisions for their pets. By funding Chances where owners have already incurred debt we are giving the next owner facing that daunting decision confidence to provide their pet with the care it needs.

The more Chances where treatment was already provided to get funded, the more likely it is owners (and vets) will make the right medical decision first, and handle the financial obligation after the fact.

We encourage you to support the work we do to help pets and their owners so we can continue to run PetChance.org.

Our world-class customer service and national impact has honored us with Top Nonprofit awards from Great NonProfits. We can only do this thanks to your generous contributions!
