Bosley's Story:

Bosley has  been with me since he was 8 weeks old. He turned 10 years old last November. On Wednesday (February 7th), he woke me up crying. I placed him on the floor and discovered he could not use his rear legs. I stayed up holding him, he was shaking and crying so much in my arms. I took him to his vet when they opened later that morning. To fully diagnose him, he was going to need to have a CT scan of his spine. Based on the results of the scan, he may need emergency surgery. I was given an estimate of $3,500.00. The CT scan revealed a herniated disc. While still under anesthesia from the scan, Bosley was taken to surgery, I am physically disabled and am not able to carry and give the additional care he will need for the next month. Bosley will be staying at his vet's office for at least two weeks to receive the needed care. I have been visiting him every day. and can tell he is happier not being in pain. The cost of the surgery and after surgery care is a huge burden on me financially. The thought of giving Bosley up is something i cannot do after ten years together. I am praying for a miracle by asking you to consider making a small donation towards Bosley's treatment. I would be eternally grateful for your help. If you are unable to contribute, your words of prayer will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you so much for reading this about Bosley.

Jan Smith

All Chances complete 30 days after they are first Submitted for Verification by the Pet Owner. The reason they end at all is because credit card refunds must be issued if the funds cannot be raised and, therefore, the treament will not be provided.

So, if a Chance will not be fulfilled by a doctor/provider within 30 days, the money must be refunded to the people who made donations.

Shortly before the Chance completion date Pet Chance will try to work with the doctor/provider to see if the treatment can be fulfilled with partial funding.

Our goal is to fullfil as many Chances as possible!

We call it Pet Care Assurance...

At Pet Chance, our goal is to empower pet owners to make the right decisions for their pets. By funding Chances where owners have already incurred debt we are giving the next owner facing that daunting decision confidence to provide their pet with the care it needs.

The more Chances where treatment was already provided to get funded, the more likely it is owners (and vets) will make the right medical decision first, and handle the financial obligation after the fact.

We encourage you to support the work we do to help pets and their owners so we can continue to run PetChance.org.

Our world-class customer service and national impact has honored us with Top Nonprofit awards from Great NonProfits. We can only do this thanks to your generous contributions!
